How to watch Spotify in a Tesla

Spotify is built into most Teslas as a native audio app, which is the better route. The web player is here for browser playback, sign-in, and cars without the native app.

Launch Spotify Browser route

Good to know: Audio only. The native Tesla Spotify app is usually the better choice.

Step by step

  1. Park the car

Streaming only runs in Park. Shift into Park and keep the car awake, a charging stop is the ideal moment.

  2. Open BigScrn in the car browser

Open the in-car web browser and go to bigscrn.com. Bookmark it so it is one tap away next time.

  3. Tap Go full screen

On the launcher, tap Go full screen. BigScrn bounces the browser through YouTube, the one site Tesla opens full screen. Tap "Go to site" when it appears and you land back full screen, and the browser stays that way.

  4. Launch Spotify and sign in

Tap Launch on Spotify and sign in with your account. The browser remembers it, so you only sign in once per car. It opens full screen.

  5. Press play

Start a title. It fills the display and audio plays through the car speakers.

Is BigScrn part of Spotify?

No. BigScrn is an independent launcher and setup guide. It is not affiliated with Spotify, Tesla, or any streaming service.
